Red Deer
Each autumn, the clash of antlers and deep-throated roars mark the start of the rutting season — a raw display of strength and dominance.
In the Scottish Highlands, stags emerge from the mist-draped hills, their silhouettes stark against vast, open moorland. Wild and wary, they battle for hinds in remote silence, far from human presence. The landscape amplifies their power — untamed and ancient.
In contrast, the stags of Richmond Park perform the same primal rituals amid autumn bracken and oak trees, within sight of the London skyline. Though semi-wild, their ferocity remains — antlers crashing, muscles tensed, as onlookers watch from a respectful distance.
Two settings. One instinct.
A timeless ritual played out on very different stages.
